UFS APS Calculation Method

The University of Free State uses a unique method to calculate your Admission Point Score (APS).

Points are awarded for six academic subjects using the NSC achievement scale (no points below 30%)
Life Orientation contributes 1 point if you score 60% or above, otherwise 0 points
UFS may have additional subject requirements for specific programs

Life Orientation gives 1 point if you score 60% or above, 0 points if below 60%.
