Affiliate Disclosure

Transparency about how we earn from product recommendations on this site.

In short: Some links on University Qualifications are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps keep the site, tools, and mobile apps free for South African students.

1. What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a special URL that contains a tracking code identifying University Qualifications as the source of a referral. When a visitor clicks an affiliate link and completes a purchase on the merchant's website, the merchant pays us a small commission. The price you pay is the same as it would be if you visited the merchant directly — the commission comes out of the merchant's margin, not your pocket.

2. Amazon Associates Program

University Qualifications is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com (and, where applicable, other Amazon marketplaces such as Amazon.co.uk).

As required by the Amazon Associates Operating Agreement, we make the following disclosure:

"As an Amazon Associate, University Qualifications earns from qualifying purchases."

3. Other affiliate & advertising partners

In addition to Amazon, University Qualifications may participate in other affiliate or advertising networks that connect publishers with relevant merchants. These can include, but are not limited to:

  • OfferForge — a South African affiliate network connecting local advertisers (banks, mobile networks, retailers, online services) with publishers.
  • FlexOffers — an affiliate network providing access to thousands of advertisers across education, technology, and retail.

Wherever we have such a relationship, the link will carry standard attributes (rel="sponsored") identifying it as a paid recommendation, and we will indicate the affiliate nature on or near the link itself.

4. How we choose what to recommend

  • We only recommend products or services we believe are genuinely useful to South African students — calculators, textbooks, study guides, laptops, online courses, and similar items.
  • Recommendations are based on editorial fit with the page topic, not on commission rate alone.
  • We do not guarantee the suitability, availability, shipping, or warranty of any third-party product. Always read the merchant's product page, reviews, and terms before purchasing.

5. Pricing & availability

Prices, availability, and shipping options on third-party sites change frequently. We do not display product prices on University Qualifications because of this. Always check the merchant's product page for the current price before completing a purchase.

6. Independence

University Qualifications is an independent education resource. Affiliate relationships do not influence the editorial information, APS calculations, course-qualification logic, or prospectus content presented on the site. Our APS calculators, average calculator, course-by-APS tool, and prospectus directory are free and remain free regardless of whether you use any affiliate link.

7. Questions
