Rhodes University Points Calculation Method

Rhodes University uses a unique points system based on your NSC percentage marks.

How Rhodes Calculates Your Points:

Your points are calculated using your top 6 NSC subjects (excluding Life Orientation)
Rhodes uses your actual percentage marks as decimal points (e.g., 75% = 7.5 points)
Marks below 40% receive 0 points
One of your language subjects must be English (Home Language or First Additional Language)
Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy is required
Rhodes may have additional subject requirements for specific programs

Unique Calculation Method

Rhodes converts your percentage mark directly to decimal points. For example: 85% = 8.5 points, 72% = 7.2 points, 67% = 6.7 points. Marks below 40% = 0 points.
