All 7 subjects including Life (if the qualification requires Life Orientation)

WSU APS Calculation Methods

Walter Sisulu University uses different calculation methods depending on your chosen category.

Category 1: Best of Six

Used for most programs. Takes your best 6 subjects (excluding Life Orientation) and converts to APS points.

APS = Sum of 6 best subjects (excluding LO)

Category 2: Best of Six

Used for specific programs. Takes your best 6 subjects (excluding Life Orientation) and converts to APS points.

APS = Sum of 6 best subjects (excluding LO)

Category 3: All Seven

Used for specific programs. Takes all 7 subjects including Life Orientation and converts to APS points.

APS = Sum of all 7 subjects (including LO)

WSU uses different calculation methods for different categories
One of your language subjects must be English
WSU may have additional subject requirements for specific programs
