Essential Guide to Accessing Your 2024 National Senior Certificate Results
As the curtains draw on the 2024 National Senior Certificate examinations , students across the country are eagerly awaiting the announcement of their results. Minister of Basic Education, Ms. Siviwe Gwarube, will unveil the outcomes on January 13, 2025, with students receiving their official results the following day, January 14, 2025. Please be aware that some delays may occur due to technical issues, affecting the availability of certain results.
How to Retrieve Your Results
Students are encouraged to collect their result statements directly from the educational institutions where they took their exams. Alternatively, the results will be made available online starting at 6 AM on January 14, 2025, accessible via the official education department’s website.
Addressing Discrepancies in Results
For any discrepancies or concerns with the results, students have up to 30 days from the release date to initiate an inquiry. It's crucial to ensure that personal details such as names and identity numbers are accurately reflected in the results statement. Corrections, if needed, should be reported to the Department no later than February 21, 2025.
Options for Re-marking and Re-checking
Students uncertain about their scores have the option to apply for a re-mark or re-check of their examination scripts:
- Application Venues: You can apply at your school, the nearest district office, or online at www.eservices.gov.za.
- Deadline for Applications: All applications must be submitted by January 31, 2025.
Fees:
- Re-mark: R116.00 per subject
- Re-check: R29.00 per subject
Following a re-mark or re-check, students may request to view their exam scripts. Applications for viewing must be submitted within 7 days after the re-mark or re-check results are announced, with a viewing fee of R220.00.
Availability of Re-marked Results
Re-marked results will be made available from March 14, 2025, at the same institutions where students originally sat their exams.
