Official Matric Results Release Date: 13 January 2026
The final NSC exams concluded on 27 November 2025, and on 12 January 2026, Minister of Basic Education Siviwe Gwarube will announce the national pass rate and performance trends. Individual results will be accessible to candidates from 6:00 AM on 13 January 2026.
To access your results, you will need your examination number. Candidates are encouraged to collect their official statement of results from the school or centre where they sat for their exams.

Please note: some results may be delayed due to technical issues, but most will be available as planned.
What to Check on Your Statement of Results
When you receive your results, take a moment to verify that all your personal details especially your name and ID number are accurate. If there are any errors, make sure to report them to the Department of Basic Education before 20 February 2026.
What if You’re Not Happy With Your Results?
Don’t panic — you have options.
Apply for a Re-mark or Re-check
If you believe there was a mistake in the marking of your exam script, you can apply for a re-mark or re-check starting from 13 January 2026. The deadline for both manual and online applications is 27 January 2026.
Applications can be submitted:
At your school or district office
Or online via eServices.gov.za
Fees:
Re-mark: R120 per subject
Re-check: R30 per subject
Note: If you still have concerns after a re-mark or re-check, you can apply to view your exam script but only after the re-mark/re-check is completed. Applications for viewing must be made within 7 days of receiving those results, and the fee is R230.
Re-mark results will be released from 13 March 2026, and will be available from the same exam centre where you sat your 2025 exams.
